Professional-quality amateur views documenting the honeymoon trip to Costa Rica in 1910 of George W. Harting and his wife
Mary. Includes several views of San José, Cartago, as well as a few each of Cambalache, Punta Arenas (Puntarenas) and Port
Limón (Puerto Limón). Views document street scenes, local inhabitants, and travel conditions. Views of Cartago include documentation
of the effects of the major earthquake that struck a few months prior to Harting's trip on May 4, 1910. Also includes a few
views of New York City. Adhered to last page and inside back cover are various pieces of ephemera, including Harting's Costa
Rica passport, postage stamps, a train schedule, a floor plan of a large passenger boat, and miscellaneous clippings. Harting
and his wife appear in some images.
